Event Description

Today, we do not choose our birthplace, but with a little help we can choose our path in life.

Ouazzaniyat is a non-profit organization that aims at setting up self-sustainable educational community centers in the rural areas of the Ouazzane Province in Morocco, using permaculture to provide local grassroots solutions to the global problems of environment, poverty, illiteracy and human migrations.

Nazik Moudden is the founder of Ouazzaniyat (www.ouazzaniyat.org). In this Open Diversity meet up she will be presenting this long-term social enterprise that started two years ago before facilitating an interactive dialog on various topics that will help this project develop:

-Up scaling this initiative, how to fund future centers?

-How to create an efficient system managed by the children for the children?

-How to get donated children books in Arabic, French, and English:
dictionaries, encyclopedias, discovery books, stories…?

All are welcome. This event is free. Bring friends.
